Not many new ATV riders have impressed us off our socks in recent years...and we all know we need many more new faces in the game. But thankfully, we've found a new amazing face in the ATV racing game during the Grand National Cross Country tour this year. Yes, the Cobra ECX70 did a splendid job and it received the acclaim that it rightfully deserved but more so, we feel inclined to mention mini quad racer Walker Fowler who bowled some of us over quite unexpectedly. Walker did an even more amazing job at the John Penton in Millfield, Ohio.
If not because of an inconvenient rock that got in the way, Fowler, a 13-year-old honor student would have had a clean sweep thus far. Impeccable form, he was in. some might argue that Fowler is, indeed, a very talented young man who was born with a great talent...but if you look a little closer, you might start to think otherwise. His father's a mechanics and you know what mechanics do...yes, they work with engines and vehicles.
They loved the machine that they had in had. Fowler senior said that 'this is a heck of a reliable quad.' Combine a great machine and a great rider, what do you get? Yes, a winner.
The father and son couldn't be happier with their Cobra ECX70 because they didn't have to do too many modifications to it. All they did was to narrow it up a bit so that it could go through the woods a little bit easier. What a team...just father and son. Couple that with their firm determination to win at every race, other ATV riders would have to be very afraid.
Fowler's more than proven his skill in ATV riding because he's been in top form the whole year through. To prove it, he won two straight races back to back....on a Saturday and then winning in another race on the day day...Sunday.
So, do watch out for Walker Fowler.
